Phone does not support 4G

When I joined Virgin Mobile many years ago, I purchased a phone from Virgin.

As I have not upgraded through Virgin, but purchased cheaper elsewhere, nowhere is there a facility to change phones in account, so Virgin insist I cannot have 4G as my phone, according to them, does not support it. (I have a moto G4).

Re: Phone does not support 4G

That's nonsense! Presumably by now you are out of contract. All you need going forward is a sim only plan which is available on a month by month basis.

Re: Phone does not support 4G

Hi malexvirg,

you are correct when you say that there is not the facility to update your device details in your account.

This is an issue for many customers (none of the phone's in my own account are correct).

However that will not prevent you from upgrading to 4G.

What will is if you are currently a Pay As You Go customer. The new 4G service is only available on Pay Monthly tariffs.
