New SIM not working

Got new SIM on Thursday after upgrading from pay as you go on a 5 year old phone. Sent the READY text off last Thursday at 2pm on the old phone, now been waiting ever since, turning new phone on and off, taking SIM out and back in but still just get the "No SIM card Emergency calls only"  was told it was 24 hrs at most now near 48 hrs.

it is unfortunate that this should be taking so long for you Smiley Sad

Do you have the use of another phone?

If so you may want to contact customer services on (freephone) 0800 064 3847 > option 3, then enter your mobile number and ask them to look into this for you.

Good luck and please keep us posted when your service is finally up and running.

after sending the "READY" text to 789678 from your old phone & SIM.

Did you receive a text back saying the request has been successful?

Has your old SIM deactivated?

Yes got an instant reply telling me my new phone with my old number up and running within 24 hrs, the old phone with the old SIM card isn't able to make calls or text.
