NO double data offer for existing customer?

I want to change my tariff and get the £8 (30 days rolling) contract as it has double data offer going on right now. However when I called to do so I was told that I can't do it because this offer is only for NEW CUSTOMERS. Tbh I was very disappointed and I think it's not fair as well. As an existing customer aren't we suppose to be entitled to all offers? And does this mean in future as well we can't take advantage of any such offers? I know you want to get more customers but think about existing customers as well.

there have been many posts about this from existing customers on this forum and others.

It is usually possible to change, it's just a matter of perseverance Smiley Frustrated

The conclusion would seem to be that the best people to call are "Sales" on freephone 0800 052 0238 or 0800 052 0422.
