Multiple credit agreements?

So just wanted to get the communities word on an issue I have had with virgin mobile. So I got an email the other day telling me that my new credit report was ready and so I went on to check this. Now I have been a virgin media customer for the past year for phone, broadband and tv but I have never had a virgin mobile. When I check my new credit report I see that there has been 3 different credit agreements added to my account in the name of Virgin Mobile, these 3 agreements. On these 3 agreement it shows that they have been running for months but with all figures relating to all 3 as £0 borrowed, owed, paid, everything.

I know that this is not my virgin media credit agree my as that is still there as it should be. When calling Virgin mobile to find out why they are there I am told I am not the account holder and so they cannot speak to me about the accounts. What I want to know is there any way that I can find out where they have come from and why as having 3 different agreements on for the same thing it has had a detrimental effect on my credit score and Virgin don't seem to want to help

Re: Virgin mobile give credit agencies false information

HI Fredsmanley,

Welcome to the forums Smiley Happy

I'm sorry for any confusion or frustration caused on our part. We want to get this sorted for you. If you're a 3rd party, we would need to speak to the account holder before giving the information out.

Are they able to give us a call on 789 or 0345 6000 789? Let me know as soon as you can.

Thanks,

Mat

Re: Virgin mobile give credit agencies false information

Hello Mat,

I don't think you really do understand my frustration. No I am not a third party, nor am I the account holder. Who is the account holder, I don't know. Why VM has decided to put credit accounts on my credit file, I don't know. All I know is that my credit score has been seriously damaged due to the accounts, and that virgin mobile won't speak to me as I'm not the account holder, nor will they tell me who the account holder is or why these 3 accounts have been put against my name.

Re: Virgin mobile give credit agencies false information

FYI I have never allowed anyone to obtain credit in my name or set up any agreement of the likes with virgin mobile.

Re: Virgin mobile give credit agencies false information

Should I just bring this to the ombudsman?

Re: Virgin mobile give credit agencies false information

Thanks for your reply fredsmanley.

This is certainly very odd! I'll chase this up with a colleague to see if I can obtain more info.

Other than the credit information, do you have anything else to chase this up?

Let me know as soon as you can.

Thanks,

Mat

Re: Virgin mobile give credit agencies false information

All I have is what is on my credit file, unfortunately though it has the account numbers with it, it only gives me the last few digits so I don't have much really. From what I have been told by your call centres it's not something that VM is bothered about resolving even though it is causing serious issues
