Moving virgin mobile account

Hi,

I have a virgin mobile sim card, but this is registered in my mum's name as she set the phones up and everything when I was younger. 

We would like to create an account for me and move the number over, however, we are not sure how we should go about this. Could you point us in the right direction?

Hi wiggydave10,

 

if the mobile number in question is Pay As You Go, no problem.

Your mum just needs to call customer services (free call 789 from the mobile). Verify the account details and explain what you both want.

If you're there, you can then take over the call, give your details and a password and a new account can be created for you with the mobile number.

 

If the number is Pay Monthly things aren't so simple. (Pay Monthly SIM's are issued following a credit check).

Your mum would first need to give notice on the Pay Monthly tariff, at the conclusion of which it will become Pay As You Go.

Then you can transfer the number to your name as above.
