I recently switched to Virgin's sim only £6 per month deal and am feeling ripped off having had a bill for extra usage of £1.30 in my very first month. I thought long and hard about whether to switch to this deal as I'm an exceptionally low user and will probably never ever use my 300 mins of talk time, unlimited texts and 600 mb internet. I topped up with £10 every 2-3 months with my old network. Virgin are charging me extra for picture messaging and "international" texts hence my £6 per month deal has risen to £7.30. Virgin should have made it absolutely clear what was not included in my allowance and I probably would not have switched bearing in mind I shall never use this allowance anyway. Where can I find full details of what is not included? Will I be charged if I use my phone abroad etc etc?
Yep it looks as if I should not have switched as I will never use my £6 per month entitlement but will be charged extra on top of that for texts abroad and picture messaging. Have learned my lesson. Am already paying an arm and a leg for my broadband, landline and tv service with Virgin. Really thought this mobile phone deal would be advantageous to me as one of their existing customers.
