Mobile phone very slow in updating front screen

Good afternoon,

My mobile phone (LG LG9) is giving me problems and I was wondering if you can help me?

My mobile (MOD EDIT) is discharging itself very quickly and then switches itself off. I have tried recharging it and it holds the charge for a short while then the same thing happens again.

I suspect that it is a battery problem. Would it be possible to send me a replacement please?

Secondly my front screen takes a long time to replenish itself. I have asked some of my friends if they have ever had this problem and they have and it has been down to a software problem.

The friends I consulted only one of them had a Virgin contract.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to your reply/help

Robin

Re: Mobile phone very slow in updating front screen

Hi Rob01,

Thanks for posting Smiley Happy

Sorry to hear that you've had some trouble with the battery life on your LG. We want to get this all sorted for you. I'm afraid it's not possible  for us to send a replacement battery. Instead, we would advise of some diagnostics to perform and if there's no difference, we'd bring it in for repair.

Firstly, are you able to tell me if you leave Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/GPS enabled all day on the phone? This will drain the battery considerably. Secondly, do you close all the apps on the phone once you've used them or do you let them run in the background?

With regards to the screen taking a long time to load, this may be linked to internal memory also surrounding apps open in the background.

Let me know if you keep them open and we can work from there Smiley Happy

Thanks,

Mat

Re: Mobile phone very slow in updating front screen

Hi Mat,

Ihave  checked for open apps and could not find any, so I suggest my best option is to send the phone back to yourselves so as you  can hopefully get to the bottom of things.

Could ypu please send me details as to how I return the phone to you please.

Thankyou

Rob 001

Re: Mobile phone very slow in updating front screen

Thanks for coming back to me Rob001,

Sorry to see you couldn't get this fixed by closing the apps. Are you able to perform a factory reset on the phone?

You can do this by doing the following steps:

  1. Power off the device.
  2. At the same time, press and hold the following keys for 8 seconds: Power key, Home key, and Volume down key.
  3. After 8 seconds or when the Android displays, release the keys.

You will need to make sure that you don't have any data you want to keep before doing this. If you do, make sure you back it up on a PC.

Let me know how you get on with this.

Thanks,

Mat
