Infrequent use of SIM card

I live in San Francisco and the last time I used my PAYG sim was in Oct 2015 and I intend to

be in the UK in Sept 2017, will the the sim still work?. I have money on the card.

Normally after 6 months of no usage they are cancelled and all credit etc lost.

I would try to send a text, that will show if it's been disconnected and if not give you six more months, then rinse and repeat at intervals

I the past the sim was good after 9 months of being away from the UK. Thanks for your reply.

Welcome to the Community, Shelke is correct in that if there's no activity on the SIM card in 6 months, they are cancelled.

 

This used to be 12 months, which would explain why it worked after 9 months for you before. J0hn's advice is good too, as long as there's a chargeable activity on the account, it'll keep the SIM active for another 6 months.
