Charges for automated facetime/imessage texts from Iphone while abroad
My phone bill has about £4 worth of roaming texts from a recent trip to Japan and Thailand where my phone has apparently sent several texts each day charged at 30p each. I haven't sent any texts and further investigation shows that the likely culprit is the iphone trying to activate facetime and imessage. Forums on google seem to intimate that most phone providers will refund texts to this set number, though there is no number on my bill and I've been charged.

Hi, I wasn't aware of the charges so didn't disable. My previous network waived the charges. Also the whole point of FaceTime and iMessage is that they can use wifi so you can communicate abroad without charges.
