Changing account details

My son has just turned 18 and started work. I would like to make him responsible for paying his own mobile bill, however, the contract bill currently comes out of my wife's bank account.

Is there anyway the bill can be swapped over to my son's bank account?

The contract is a legal device between your wife and Virgin not Virgin and your son. I'm suprised your not able to resolve this internally. If you connected your sons bank account to the Virgin account and failed to pay it would be your wife who would be responsible to your son.
A bit bleak, but sadly that is the bottom line here
