4G Trade Up Terms

I am halfway through a 12 month contract with Virgin Mobile.

If I "Trade up" to one of your 4G tariffs, will I start to another 12 month contract?

Hi guys

Just had a very disappointing conversation with CS.

I'm in the middle of my 24 month contract and have just been told I would have to wait until it finishes before upgrading to 4G. Despite what it says on the account overview screen on the website, you can't just change it like you can add more data say.

If you are on a monthly sim only contract I believe you can though.

Im one of the thousands who have waited for 4G patiently only to be told I can't have it.

I'm absolutely livid about this and am escalating it further.

It's a new contract stream and as always you can only upgrade to contracts on the same stream, I understand your feeling hard done by, as I would in your place, but it's not a new policy

Freestyle customers can move to a 4G tariff at any time, but inclusive handset tariff customers have to be at or after their upgrade date or by pay out early.

Freestyle customers can also do a Trade Up at any point to get a new handset, but this does start a new contract.

As far as I know, all 4G deals are now Freestyle only.
