moving shortly to a new house in a virgin media area

we are planning to move shortly to a new house and the post code checker says virgin is available  and  have some questions
1, if the property has not had virgin media installed before and a new instilation is needed is there a charge for this
2, we would like to keep the service full house bundle we are on at present
3, we would like to keep our landline phone number we have now

Hi NHANDUCHROMATUS

Thanks for joining us on the community and welcome to the forums Smiley Happy It's lovely to have you here with us.

In answer to your House Move questions:

1: With any House Move there is a standard charge of £20 to arrange this if we have to book an engineer visit. There is no charge for the House Move if you are able to have this arranged as a Quick-start Self-Install
2. Providing the property can be cabled there should be no issues transferring the account service you have now to your new property
3. If the landline switch is compatible with the new cabinet that services your new home, then we would be able to transfer this too. That can be checked by our teams when you call to arrange this with us.

If you’d like to arrange this with our teams please contact them via 150 or 0345 454 1111 option 4 then option 4 again.

Keep us posted on how you get on, and if we can help with anything else Smiley Happy

Re: moving shortly to a new house in a virgin media area

hi

I have informed customer service of our move date now and wish to stay on same package (formally the Big Kahuna Bundle) and told we will be put on the full house bundle option at £55 a month and after 12 months it will be £76 ? is this price including the line rental or is the package increased? I am a little confused and waiting for the new contract to be emailed to me to so I can read through it. currently we pay the line rental saver one off payment every year to keep the cost down (which is due for renewal on the 15 dec)

Re: moving shortly to a new house in a virgin media area

Hi NHANDUCHROMATUS,

Thanks for coming back to the Community with your questions. Without seeing the contract ourselves we wouldn't know what it includes until it's taken.

A lot of the promotions change often so this is something you'll need to speak to the team regarding. Give them a call on 150 / 0345 454 1111 and they can double check whether this is based on paying the line rental in advance or monthly.

Keep us posted on how you get on.

Thanks,

That's great NHANUCHROMATUS Smiley Happy

If there is anything on the contract you're unsure of, come back and let us know.

If you are wanted to consider a package with paying the line rental upfront, give us a call asap so we can arrange that for you. We don't want you to miss out.

Keep us posted on how things go.

Thanks,

Re: moving shortly to a new house in a virgin media area

Hey NHANUCHROMATUS

Our Line Rental Saver currently saves our customers £32 per year which is great Smiley Happy

Just pop by to arrange that when it's due for renewal either via 150 or 0345 454 1111 and our teams can sort this for you ready for the next time you're looking to add this with us.

If you didn't already know, you can arrange this with us up to 4 months in advance so bear that in mind if your LRS is due for renewal around or just after a potential price change as booking this early with us can save you even more money Smiley Happy

Thanks again and let us know if you need anything else.
