forced to move home

Hi I've been served with a section 8 notice to quit (totally out of the blue after 8 years Smiley Sad) from my landlord as they are selling the house this gives me 8 weeks to move out. I signed up for virgin fibre optic, TiVo and phone line in January this year, virgin do not supply series to the house I'm moving into therefore I will be forced to cancel. Would I be liable to pay early disconnection fees even though its out of my hands? I can prove the forced move to show I'm not just trying it on. I'm gutted as I'm really enjoying virgin. Any info would be great.

Re: forced to move home

HI, I think your best bet is to give VM a call to discuss your particular circumstances.  Don't waste your time with the off-shore call centres.  Wait until Monday morning and contact the UK based Retentions Ream during normal office hours.  150 (free) from a VM phone or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone and follow the prompts  1  >  4  >  5  to 'Thinking of leaving us'.  Good luck.
