I live in a new build property and have lived here for about 3 years now but the estate has been here for 4 - 5 years maybe. I currently get 1.5 mbps which is dire and I live far from the exchange. BT Openreach have no plans to get fibre to us, I'm not rural and live in a really well populated town that already has full access to all of the services available.
I put my post code into the Virgin Media website and it came up with this,
"We're on our way...
Your community has been chosen for future development"
Does this mean something is definitely happening and they've taken note of all our requests we've sent or is this more of a generated search response to anyone who's searched the website?
I've heard back from the team and they've advised that this isn’t a development we are on, and with it being a recent new build, we won’t be able to offer services until it is adopted by the local council. Once it is adopted it is something that infill can look into servicing.
Many thanks for your query and we hope to have you with us soon!
I have recently posted leaflets to all the people in my area to get Virgin Media in my area and would like to know if Virgin are going to consider us for their network? as we have it around us so it wouldn't be hard for them to give it us, we was suppose to get it back in 2012 but that never happened, so please if there is any way I can get any info about what is going on that would be great, Thankyou.
