The Forum Team won't be able to answer this due to Data Protection Restrictions. You will need to phone customer services for an explanation.

Why? He is asking why has he been charged. Surely you can give him a simple reason without having to go into his account details and if others have had same problem they can just look on here.

Re: Virgin CONTRACT TERMINATION FEE

Hi All,

Apcy and Nodrogd are correct. We are unable to look into accounts and billing information due to data protection laws. I'm afraid, Gost, that you'd need to call in to our customer service team on 150 or 0845 454 1111 to discuss this.

Re: Virgin CONTRACT TERMINATION FEE

Okay, without going into my account, and without anything to do with my account, please can you list off the reasons there would be this charge on accounts closing down which are well past their contract terms?

CONTRACT TERMINATION FEE INTERNET £20.00
CONTRACT TERMINATION FEE PHONE £4.00

Re: Virgin CONTRACT TERMINATION FEE

you had Phone and XXL internet and had 1 month left on your contract.

You must of changed the package. Called to lower price or added or removed a service 11 months ago

Sadly not a Virgin customer anymore.... Unless you want to cable my new street. my internet sucks.

Re: Virgin CONTRACT TERMINATION FEE

I cancelled phone and internet, but kept the TV and wasn't told of these charges. I've had no changes to my virgin media services for 24 months.

Contract termination fees are here http://store.virginmedia.com/the-legal-stuff/terms-and-conditions-for-fibre-optic-services/early-dis...

However, if you are outside of contract, you shouldn't have been charged those - instead your services run for 30 days once you give notice, and that should be only thing you pay for the disconnecting services.

Re: Virgin CONTRACT TERMINATION FEE

I've just had the same - I'm over a year out of my minimum contract, and I've cancelled my TV service.  Nothing was ever mentioned on the phone but the new contract shows a one-off charge of £15 as a termination fee.

What??????

I've sent in my complaint and await a response.......
