Hi,just wanted to share with you and ask about opinion.
Yesterday I found advert on FB saying that someone, acting on behalf of third party company working for VM,was offering VIP Bundle for £1 for 12 months.
The guy said it was a New Year's offer and it would expire in 48 hours or so.
I made an order by phone and received email :
"Online order reference: VM*********,
Thank you for your recent order.
Please find below confirmation of the package you have selected.
Installation at no additional cost subject to property eligibility (usually £40) £14.99 activation fee applies 12 month contract
Please keep an eye on your inbox confirming your account number, installation date or confirmation of any changes you have made to your existing account.

Please note :
Calls to 084/087/09/118 service numbers are formed by a combined access charge and service charge. We set the access charge which is shown on your bill and is currently 36 pence per minute from your mobile and 10.25 pence per minute from your landline . I thought that email was missing some bits. They forgot to mention the price of the bundle. Also the hotline number doesn't seem to be legitimate VM number.
I didn't give them debit card details (just sort code and account number).
You've given away your account number and sort code. That is all they need. I suspect that by now your bank account will be empty. So I'd do more than phone VM. I'd phone your bank and check and plead for help. VM no longer market the VIP bundle. That is the giveaway!
Superuser 2017/18 Use Kudos to say thanks Mark answer as "helpful" only when the problem is solved Please don't send me private messages unless I ask you to. I do not work for VM. The advice I give is based on my best understanding of VM policy and practice. You rely on it at your own risk.
