Threat of additional charges

Hi All - Hope someone can offer some advice on this problem.

Virgin offered me a free router upgrade which I accepted (very nice it is too). Unfortunately, I'm now getting text messages threatening me with additional charges unless I return it. I should mention that all my payments are up to date and on time.

The department sending me the threat texts doesn't reply to me when I contact them, the online chat system doesn't seem to be available in my location (I'm currently outside Europe) and I've spent a fortune on long distance mobile calls burning up credit on hold to the Virgin call centre without success.

What I need is an email address to contact Virgin, but I can't seem to find one anywhere on the website. Does anyone here know of a suitable email address or know where I might find one?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - steve

Steve,

It's amazing what you can find when you Google CEO Virgin Media......
Scroll down what the search reveals.
Very useful tool.

Re: Threat of additional charges

No e-mail address exists. Use the "Contact us" link at the bottom of every and any VM web page to see how to get in touch. should be easy to sort out.

Re: Threat of additional charges

Thanks, HowardML - I appreciate your help.

Unfortunately, that link only offers online chat (unavailable from my location) and the prospect of yet more money wasted on expensive long distance mobile call while I'm held on hold.

So there really is no way to contact Virgin by email? Wow! that is astonishing. So I guess I have to work out which costs less: paying the additional charges I shouldn't be paying, or running up yet more international mobile charges.

Thanks for your quick reply, Howard. It is genuinely appreciated

Steve

Re: Threat of additional charges

You could always write a letter. Remember those?

Virgin Media, PO Box 333, Matrix Court, Swansea, SA7 9ZJ.

Re: Threat of additional charges

Astonishingly, that might be my best option.

By the way - I'm not sure Virgin's lack of a contact email address on their website is entirely legal. I suspect Virgin might be in breach of the 2002 Electronic Commerce Regulations.

However, thanks for your help Howard

Regards - Steve

Re: Threat of additional charges

That argument has been done to death on the Forum. But VM still don't have an e-mail address. So you pays your money and takes your choice!

Re: Threat of additional charges

That sort of advice sails very close to the Forum rules wind. Which why I don't give it. There is a question of personal privacy involved here and VM staff at all levels care to keep their contact details private.

Re: Threat of additional charges

Simply offering advice on what the power of Google has.

If it's private then it shouldn't be available on Google - not under my control.
