Refusal to reduce package

Right.  I've become unemployed and need to reduce my costs.  I currently owe money on my account and it's now suspended.  So I ring the customer service number to request a drop in my package for now.  The request is refused as I owe money and then, to add insult I'm told I'd still be charged for the next month as it's a 30 day package.  Excuse me ?  You charged me for a part month when I added to my package during the month so why can't you part charge when I'm reducing my package ?

Re: Refusal to reduce package

Not sure it will help, but the time your account is suspended for, Virgin have to credit you.  So if your services are suspended for a week, they have to credit you for a weeks service on your account.

Not a widely known thing.  Take advantage of it.

It does seem disgusting that Virgin will not help when someone is in financial difficulty.

You would think they would reduce the package for you so that your financial burden was less to help you.
