Whilst at my dads I noticed his omnibox has no cover on it, is it important to have one? If so, can you post one out. Its relatively sheltered and hes not had any problem with his internet at all, I doubt he has even knows theres a cover missing.

One should be in place to protect the cabling and its entry point into the home. They aren't posted out though. You father can call in about it (150 from a VM phone or 0345 454 1111 from any phone) and report a phone/TV/broadband fault and ask for an engineer to come out to replace it. Or make the request via the Webchat via the various fault options.

Also have the same issue, contacted customer services, spoke with someone who didn't really understand the problem. Not very helpful. Requested an engineer with email confirmation and nothing. Second time I've had to contact customer services and it's painful to say the least...
