Missed direct debit

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me with this. My direct debit was due to go out 2 days ago (22nd) but I had a problem with my bank account and the money wasn't taken. The problem was quickly resolved so I logged into my account and made a payment manually the same day the direct debit should have been taken. My account is now saying that I'm £31 in credit but that I haven't paid my most recent bill. Why isn't this money that I've paid going to the most recent bill?

You need to let VM know by a call (150 from a VM phone or 0345 454 1111 from any phone) that you've paid the money owed in and they'll take the money off for the bill from the credit on the account then.

Also, once the bill is paid, it still continue to list as that is how the VM system works (it doesn't change to list £0 after a bill is paid.)
