Mis information from VM?

As part of my switch from Sky to VM i was told by VM they would send a letter to port the number and internet and cancel my tv subscription from SKY. However I've just been billed by sky and told they will only cancel my tv after i phone them. The contact at VM told me he has used these letters before and its always worked. Can anyone shed more light??

Re: Mis information from VM?

Hi billyhwhizz18,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums. It's great having you on board with us even though circumstances aren't the best Smiley Sad

When porting your number over to Virgin Media, as we take over the line, the account automatically cancels at your previous providers side. This means you wouldn't get charged for Broadband and Phone.

With TV, it is your responsibility to cancel the line as normal and inline with the cancellation terms and conditions set out in your contract.

I would speak to Sky to see what they can do for you on this.

Thanks,
