Making one-off payments by credit card - Fee charged ?

I have a direct debit set up to take my payments to Virgin Media via this method.

If I choose to make a one-off payment to Virgin Media whilst still leaving the direct debit in place I have a couple of questions.

1.  Do I get charged a fee for this or is it just for those who don't have a direct debit in place ?

2.  Will the amount due to be taken by direct debit be adjusted to take into account the one-off payment(s) made ?

Thanks in advance

1. not sure. I dont think there is a fee.
2. it will but if the bill has already been generated it will still be taken by DD.
