I've been with Virgin since it started - with NTL before this.
Why is my Loyalty Discount coming to an end in July 17. Do I suddenly become less loyal.
I was going to renew my pre-paid line rental until I saw this was the case.

No, it's just that loyalty discounts have an 18 month duration. You need to get a new one applied after the old one expires.
But why do I need to waste time ringing in. I have not suddenly stopped being loyal.
Sadly , I suspect this is just Virgin hoping that people forget or don't try, in order to raise more money.
This is the thing I really dislike about Virgin. Good product but they do not know how to treat long standing loyal customers
Your loyalty discount is in return for an additional 12 month minimum term. Virgin Media can't agree to this on your behalf, hence the need for you to call in and confirm your agreement.
