Land Line Rental Discount for Disabled and Pensioners

On the news today, it was mentioned that Virgin Media is giving a discount to the disabled and pensioners.  As a pensioner how can I tell if I am being given this discount and if not how do I apply please.

I wonder how they will define "elderly".

"In response, Virgin Media said it would freeze landline charges for its elderly and disabled customers from January 2017."

Nice to be able to post again, after their mistake (removed by the Censorship team).

...and, of course, even if you were of age, your TiVos debar you from taking up the offer.

Thank you Ernie C for the article link, I fit the age part but I am not eligible because of my package.

Only a handful will benefit from this largesse - those with phone packages only.

It's just a gimmick, bit of positive publicity at virtually no cost.

Re: Land Line Rental Discount for Disabled &Pensioners

Having been 'told' that VM & VirginMobile have support for disabled, could find nothing searching the My Virgin Media website so came to the Community and this post was selected for me.
I'm an early retiree due to ill health. However I don't qualify on several counts. Age and selective disability in order to save £1.01 per month, fail fail fail.  Very reminiscent of an Atos/DWP interview.  Yes, they're still around doing contract to DWP critera for minimum awards.

As for other services mentioned by VM clients, like Lifeline, nothing.....
