I returned the broadband device to the local virgin media in person (not Collect+ service). but I still got a text message and email notification about returning the device.
What should I do?

I'm sorry to hear you are having notifications asking you to return your equipment.
When you returned it to store, did they give you any receipt or form of proof of the return?
Can you confirm which date and store you returned it too aswell
Once I have this information I will be able to update the account.
