Direct Debit Taken 6 days early

Apparently Virgin Media have taken money out of my account by Direct Debit 6 days early.

When i go into my bills it states that i am in credit but still shows that the money will be taken from bank next week

Please help

Got a Letter Today (the day the direct debit should have been taken out) Stating due to a "technical hitch" virgin media system took the direct debit out early. anyhow the direct debit wasn't taken out twice.

I'd check the bank first to actually make sure that they HAVE taken the money.

 

Normally Direct Debits are taken on the first working day around the actual date. However, my company updates customer accounts with the direct debit information a week early, but does not physically take the money until the due date

Checked with bank. Direct Debit has definetley been taken out.

Hopefully it won't be taken out twice. I am still waiting for a member of billing to contact me.
