DELAYED CONNECTION

my installation date was supposed to be 1/12/15, however Virgin Media rang to tell us that work needed to be done in the area and they would be sending round someone to dig up the road... this is all very well, but what happens if talk talk cut me off and i have no internet??

I presume date-wise you meant 1/12/16.

If road works are needed you should assume the worst.  VM's sub-contractors will need local council permissions and that can take quite a while.

You might want to consider asking TalkTalk if you can continue with their service until VM can supply theirs or you could be without a connection for a long time.

Re: DELAYED CONNECTION

If I were you, I'd put some contingency in place.

Look at the possibility of deferring your Talk Talk cancellation.

Consider getting your hands on some mobile broadband solution on a pay as you go basis.
