Cancelled account

Hi, I had arranged for my services to be switched off and the date given was Jan 5th. My TV and broadband were switched off but my phone service is still active. Not only is it active, the package has also changed. How is this possible as everything was supposed to be cancelled? I hadn't been using the email for weeks but looking at it today there's an email 'confirming' changes to my phone package. I didn't ask for this so any chargeable changes are on Virgin.

Hi LFPorter, 

 

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear your landline service has been left running. 

 

Did you by any chance say you wanted to keep your number when leaving us? 

 

If so, this would be why. In order for your number to be taken with you, your new provider will need to carry out a Port. They're not able to do this on a disconnected line. 

 

As soon as the port is complete, the landline service will be cancelled automatically.
