Cancellation nightmare

I phoned up this week to cancel my phone and broadband- going to keep the Tv. I gave a month's notice - service meant to go off 4th Feb, giving me time to sort out a new provider. Virgin cut the phone that day and the broadband just now and charged me! I have no home phone and I didn't realize- missed some important calls from the hospital as the number is out of service I  can't believe what they have done and there is no way to get the phone back apparently and the broadband may come back within 72 hours. Beware ! Is this a ploy to stop people leaving!  I spent 2 hours this evenin g on my mobile of course trying to sort this out - so outraged will never go back to virgin.
