Account number given is incorrect

Hello, we had virgin broadband and tv fitted Tuesday and the account left by the technician is incorrect. It only contains 8 number and should contain 9. And also I don't know the area code.

What should I do to get the actual account number?

if you add a 0 to the start, also as for the area code what city/town are you in
