30 days notice to end a free upgrade??

Hi all, I was given a great deal to stay with Virgin back in October/November. This was basically a reduced monthly fee and six months free sky movies and sports.  I was advised to get in touch by/in April to renegotiate or cancel (which I did on the 31st March) but was definitely not told that I would have to give 30 days notice to cancel or be charged a partial month for sports/movies.  I explained the situation to 'Harry' on the phone who did seem terribly bothered or sympathetic. I informed him that I would not be paying the partial month as I was not informed of this and this upgrade was initiated by Virgin as a deal sweetener

Re: 30 days notice to end a free upgrade??

Hi VJim

Many thanks for taking the time to let us know about the downgrading query.

I appreciate that the process to change packages with us now incorporates the 30 days notice when making a downgrade and I understand this is something you would like to discuss further with our teams.

To review this with our teams you can contact them to look at supporting you with this this either via 150 or 0345 454 1111 or via Webchat

To speak to the Webchat teams just choose the option in the column on the left that best matches your needs and tab over to the right through the menu to get to the Chat Online option.

E.g.- Account and Billing > Manage Your Account Online

Via these options our teams can clear security with you and support you with billing or packages queries. As the forums are public, supporting you in this way is the best way to keep your data confidential.

Keep us posted on how this goes and let us know if you need anything else.

Take care.
