Oh God, how I agree!!!! This used to be a good service, but now you can never get hold of anyone and they frustrate and insult you by diverting any attemtp to complain to useless and inapproriate answers on some kind of generic advice page. I always used to be able to ring and get sensible and immediate advice and help, but not any more.
My phone has been down for over a week and no one is ever available to help even when I finally manage to get throught to someone to ring about it. I've lost work the lack of phone at a busy period in my work. I am being charged double through some kind of bureacratic mistake that has opened two accounts in my name since last November - that seems to be ongoing, and despite numerous visits to the shop, no one seems to be able to alter this.
TO WHOM DO WE COMPLAIN? Should we sue for false representation of service? I'm getting annoyed enough to consider this.
I will now have to challenge these double payments via my bank's legal department and I am sick of spending my time and energy addressing this issue. If there are other frustrated internet users there, perhaps a joint complaint might attract some vague attention at last.

"I have had to ring up the Virgin Media call centre by using a mobile. The 0845 number has extortionate rates. Everytime i was puit on hold for over an hour, my bill proves this. This is not customer service! I have never had this issue with BT."
I would post the 0800 number that you can use to contact the both customer support and the techs. However I was told by the staff here that if I posted it again I would be banned.
They also removed the posts that I have given the number in.
Try a quick Google search. Its not that hard to find.

Agree with all the comments; getting anything sorted out with virgin is a most painful process...

I have been a Virgin customer for less than a week and while my broadband speed is great and we had no problems with installation, we have an issue with the phone and trying to deal with Customer Services is a full on pain in the neck!
I cannot believe they charge their own customers to phone them - unless of course you are lucky enough to have a Virgin mobile. When we moved we were originally going to switch from BT to PlusNet (cheaper, far better phone and broadband packages and first rate customer service), but decided to opt for Virgin instead because they could sort out the broadband and phone much quicker as we already cable installed at the propert; however, I'm starting to think waiting a few more weeks without broadband and phone would have been a much better option to signing up to Virgin.

Sadly I have been a Virgin customer for a few years. Every time I have a fault repaired it never seems to last !

I just feel constantly lied to by their "helpful" staff; I was told repeatedly I would be paying £29.99 a month but lo' and behold my bill comes out and it's £37.90.

Agree 100% - Oh to speak to someone in person and in England. And even better if they could be truthful and not make you you feel like you are being had over every time you do speak to someone.
SOmeone should find Rishard Branson's home phone number and call him, then perhaps things might move !

Cookie, Richard branson does not run virginmedia. He is simply a share holder who has leased the virgin name. He is not even a quarter owner.
Virgin companies have nothing to do with each other except the name and they all have separate CEO's
