Only numbers we are able to phone are to mobiles
All others lose the dial tone at first or second number.
Eg we lose dialtone after dialling
08 - so thats the 0845 support number gone
15 - so no 153
4 - other virgin media numbers in area
01 - so that's most of uk landline gone
But start 07 and the entire number gets dialled and contact made - which suggest the problem is external to us.
We can't find any other way of reporting this fault.

Yes we had an engineer out - who confirmed there was a problem with the line from the junction box and that someone else would have to come and fix it...
As to when that is happening? 3 weeks on from reporting the fault no reply
(But I don't doubt we will carry on being charged for the privilege of having an unusable landline)
