See a previous post here:- http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Internet-secur
Go To Taskmanager and Under "Processes" Make Sure You "End Task" On All Of The Following Files :
Then go to Add/Remove Programs & Remove Both Virgin Broadband Advisor & Virgin Broadband PCGuard.
Then restart PC, and it should now be gone.
ctrl, alt & delete. Use your taskmanger to close the offending processes.
On the processes tab look for: broadband advisor, RPS, Freedom, VirginBroadband, PCGuard.
Goto C:\Program Files\ and delete the VirginBroadband folder
Goto C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ and delete the VirginBroadband folder.
Goto C:\Documents and Settings\%user name%\Application Data\ and delete the VirginBroadband folder.
%user name% is the user name of the users that login to your computer, e.g "mum", "dad", "Kelly" "bigtolly".
Go to add or remove programs, remove Broadband advisor, PCguard and/or Freedom.
You may get the message that the program doesn't exist and would you like to remove it. Yes!
Remember to set a SYSTEM RESTORE POINT and/or BACKUP YOUR DATA BEFORE trying either of the options I've posted here.
