Call of duty all i expereince is lag im playing af a 1 second delay behind everyone else. my download, upload and ping are fine so thats not the problem. my connection is unstable one minute its fine and the next i cant kill anyone in call of duty. Is JITTER the problem here? I think so... virgin media bad for gaming
Sorry to hear you're having trouble with Cod. If your ping is fine then this is unlikely to be jitter as that means differences in ping times. I've tried to check your connection to see if there are any issues on our end but your hub is currently offline so I couldn't pull any stats. I've checked the network and everything looks perfectly healthy from here. Could you leave your hub online for us to run a few checks? Also it would be useful to know what device you are playing CoD on and whether this is wired or wireless to the hub.
Im playing on xbox one and xbox 360. at first i thought the latency or problem i am experiencing was due to gaming wirelrssly but for a while now i am gaming on a wired connection through powerline adapters. the funny thing is i have a four ping bar in most lobbys and if you say my connection is fine then its frustrating me not to be able to pin point the issue. im on the 30mb package but ive just ordered the free speed upgrade to 50mb broadband? can the upgrade be causing my issue because this latency problem im having seemed to start when virgin started doing the speed upgrade for everyone last year?
Thanks for confirming that your gaming wired. We can now discount wireless signal issues as the cause. I've tried to check your connection again but your hub is offline again. Could you leave it on for a few days? Once I can check the hubs stats I'll also be able to run some more in depth tests specific to connecting to CoD servers in case there is a problem somewhere along the way.
It would also be useful if you could run a traceroute to a CoD server and post the results here for us to take a look at.

I can see the problem appears to start at hop 5 which is within our servers though I'll still have to run a some more tests on your connection but I'm not in over the weekend. Not to worry though! I'll pass this to one of the team to take a look at tomorrow and take action if you could keep your hub online all weekend? You'll be in good hands
