World of warships - packet loss - lag - unplayable

Hi,

Since Nov 30 i've been having real trouble in the evening with lag / packet loss and it's getting worse. Unplable tonight 06Dec.

Other games play fine. Seems only to be when playing world of warships. Other players have had some trouble, but not many [world of warships forum].

Can you plaese check from your end?

Thanks

Re: World of warships - packet loss - lag - unplayable

I have the same problem yesterday and today in World of Warships as yourself and these people http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/38791-very-bad-lag-in-last-24-hours-help-needed-fro...

Looking on the forums today there seem to be several threads started in the last 2 days about lag.  Has there been any response from Virgin Media yet?

Re: World of warships - packet loss - lag - unplayable

Hi Ty

Thanks for getting back to me.

The problem seems to have been fixed [Wednesday/Thursday] Smiley Happy

Just for you info. Below i've posted the trace route that seems to show the problem at the time. It's from the World of Warships forum.  The trace was done using two different networks.

Just to follow-up, here are the traceroutes from home and another server I have.

and from the other server

 9  ed-sl-c49.worldoftanks.eu (92.223.24.49)  14.481 ms !X  14.462 ms !X  14.250 ms !X

Apart from the fact that VM seem to have an insane number of hops, the actual lag doesn't occur until the WG server just before the game server, which coming from VM is ed-n56128-fe-4-vl244.wargaming.net (92.223.112.190). From the other server the entry point is ed-n56128-fe-3-vl241.wargaming.net (92.223.112.165) which doesn't appear to suffer from the problem.

Also, the issue isn't just long ping times, but actual packet loss at peak times. I have the graphs for that if anyone is interested :)

Re: World of warships - packet loss - lag - unplayable

Hi Trevor_406

Thanks for getting back to me and posting up the trace routes. I'm glad to hear that the problem appears to be fixed Smiley Happy Everything looks ok when double checking your connection. If you have the graphs showing the packet loss then yes please post them here so that we can have a look into this.

Speak soon,

Ty
