WHEN WILL THE SUPERHUB2 HAVE ITS FIRMWARE UPDATE TO FIX GAMING ISSUES?!

As said, it's been weeks now.

Assuming they do fix it.

They wan't traffic shaping and the fact that streaming services were crippled by it clearly doesn't bother them.

If it did they'd have rolled back already.

It's fantastic news for other providers though. This is the telecommunications equivalent of the pole-position car's wheels coming off.

Re: WHEN WILL THE SUPERHUB2 HAVE ITS FIRMWARE UPDATE TO FIX GAMING ISSUES?!

I don't have a separate router. I don't see why every customer should go out and buy one because of a provider-mediated loss of functionality.

If a separate router and modem mode is the only solution then the provider should be duty-bound to supply everything needed to access all of the service.

Everybody should be demanding SuperHub 2ac models and complaining to CISAS regardless of whether or not it fixes the problem.

This firmware has been around since July, The majority of streaming customers are probably paying subscriptions of the services that are being disrupted. Realistically, they should be compensated for their incompetent provider's towering ineptitude.

Re: WHEN WILL THE SUPERHUB2 HAVE ITS FIRMWARE UPDATE TO FIX GAMING ISSUES?!

Funny how the firmware issue has NOT given me any problems. Because I use modem Mode.

Too many moaning people. Just bite the bullet and get a router. If NOT leave VM.

You give people advice, and they moan moan moan, so it may cost a few pounds. Its not going to break the bank.

If your really angry, email the CEO of VM, just do a Google seach for his name.

Sorry RANT over.

Red (VM SH2 AC Beta tester)
Running on 200Mb VM service with SH2 AC in Modem Mode, with a ASUS RT-N66U router. With this setup I get Fantastic WIRED and WIRELESS Signals in my home. I dont work for VM. But I work in IT, and I know my tech.
My advice is at your own risk.

Does not stop you from leaving even if it costs you.

Re: WHEN WILL THE SUPERHUB2 HAVE ITS FIRMWARE UPDATE TO FIX GAMING ISSUES?!

I've used VM routers for a long time and know how to work the settings. I've had to make the 5ghz channel run at 54mbps to make gaming work. Any other mbps and it won't work. This is happening to a lot of people all of a sudden.

Re: WHEN WILL THE SUPERHUB2 HAVE ITS FIRMWARE UPDATE TO FIX GAMING ISSUES?!

We SHOULDN'T have to buy a separate router because virgin simply suck at firmware upgrades. We also SHOULDN'T have to pay to leave virgin due to their ridiculous firmware updates.
