Virgin Server Problems

Hi There,

 

I've had intermittent problems with World of warcraft and many other online games suffering spikes (or Disconnects in blizzards case due to them having sensitive servers). I've run some pingplotter and ive found the following: I disconnected at 18:26 following a huge spike and packet loss, from the IP *********** (perr-core-2a-xe-133-0.network.virginmedia.net)

We've just had our wireless router changed as that was believed to be the problem, but we can clearly see the problem is not on our end, or even on blizzards. the problems begin at virgin:

Thanks for posting on the community.

Many apologies for the issues you're experiencing when online gaming and for the late response.

When I checked your connection, the line and hub have come back as fine. The power levels are within range, there are no faults reported and the network is running stable.

Are you able test through a wired connection please? 

Can you complete a traceroute to the server?

And set up a Broadband Quality Monitor to keep track of the latency.

Sorry I was already on the case when you bumped, have just raised with our engineers ref F004626273 area upstreams errors. I have updated your account so if we have your mobile you should hopefully get some updates with our progress. I must say it was handy that you posted the live BQM link, as soon as I saw it I thought better get on to this lol.

Lo and Behold the problem returned after 2 months.

This suddenly isnt as solved as it should be.
