Unstable connection jitter

Hi, I have 100mb vmb, speed pretty much always ok, but I have unstable connection, get too much jitter around 10 and latency around 20-30ms. I had some packet loss before too, but was ok yesterday and haven't checked today yet. I play Alot online games like nba 2k16 and call of duty and I get way too much lag for 100mb broadband. Why I'm having this problem? Is it time to switch to another provider? Is it true that vm is one of the worse when it comes to online gaming and voip?

Re: Unstable connection jitter

The amount of jitter can vary by what super hub you have how well the QoS is in your area how many modems get put on the same channels that are shared and routeing beyond that.

What does pingtest show you?

you can also setup a BQM

Re: Unstable connection jitter

Thanks for reply, seems like it's time to switch provider, will try sky, hears it's better for online gaming and voip
Done test now and latency jumped up to 70ms, packet lost 4%, and 4ms jitter. C'mon, it's 100mb broadband
