Hello, today I've upgraded my internet speed from 100MBs to 200MBs because I had a lot of problems with my internet connection and I hoped to improve it by getting more upload and download speed. No improvements so far as you can see:
The game I am trying to play is absolutely unplayable with my ping issues, and when you have a 200MBs connection I think you should not have problems playing online games.
This is the IP of the game server that I am trying to play on: 22.214.171.124 so you can test it if you want.I have a lot of friends playing from UK the same game no one has any ping issues, I even took my PC to a friend to test it, was perfect no problems at all , and I know it may seem weird to some people but the main why I am paying for this internet is to play this game.2 engineers from VirginMedia tried to solve the problem one installed a "forward path attenuator"(no improvements), and the second engineer changed a hardware part "Tratec" still no improvements. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.Thanks.
Also, cable connection, not using wireless on my PC. Game its called Blade and Soul, I tried other games as League of Legends, same ping issues, unplayable.Sometimes even browsing the internet feels like a struggle. If you need anything else logs, settings, etc let me know. Thanks.
I noticed when my girlfriend is using the internet also, it affects it very but very much, but she is not downloading anything and still 200MBs internet cant hold 2 users on it?No way. Played this game from a friend and there are 3 users there on the internet on a 100MBs connection, my ping was 39 maximum. Also every time I traced, nr4, 5, 6 and 7 = Request timed out.
Sorry to hear of the in game latency problems and thanks for all the additional info, hopefully this will help us pin down where the problem lies.
I've run a few checks on your SuperHub and local network segment and the only apparent issue which might explain the ping spikes is a pick up in traffic on your cable during peak times, though this doesn't appear to have been the issue at around 2am last night when you posted the trace and ping results.
I wonder if for diagnostics purposes it would be an idea to drop the hub into modem mode and test your gaming and ping to see if this helps.
If you have the results from the BQM these might be helpful too.
Hello again, I found another internet provider for myself which I will take in 5 days if my ping issue will not be solved, I am really sorry but I need a stable internet connection, for 2 months I had problems every single day. Thank you!
