Unstable Connection

I have terrible packet loss and intermittent disconnects. This is a typical day.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear of the problems that you are experiencing with intermittent connection.

 

I've had a check on your connection and there appears to be some peak time impediment. We have a ticket raised for this with a review date estimated for 14/10/2015. There are also problems with your downstream power levels. We will need to arrange an engineer visit and get these adjusted. 

 

I will send you a private message (red envelope top left hand corner) to get this organised.

Use modem mode if you want it stable over a long time without a reboot the other thing it can be is something downloading or uploading a lot.

Tried that. It's no use as I need a wireless connection for my phone and laptop. I don't see why I should suddenly need to buy my own router after five years of being fine using the Virgin Hub.

Welcome to the club.

The forums can provide some advice, (like if there's already a known fault in your area.)

But it can take a couple of days for an answer.

Do the disconnects affect just your gaming device or other internet connected devices?

Hi All

 

Seems this issue only started affecting me in the last week. Thought it was WoW at first but turns out it is not. Affecting all devices on my network and not just while gaming. Getting emails, looking at social media. Disconnects every 15 minutes without fail. The lights on the router remain blue so its like the connection is there but no data being output to any device. I have pasted my logs below.
