The lag is back and this time stronger!

Few weeks ago I posted about having really bad lag between around 6 as 12pm. An engineer came around and switched my Virgin Media router to the new Hub 3.0 (I guess I had the 2.0 before?). Job done.

So I started a new broadband monitor to check the new connection and this is the result:

d450beedda

Constant lag spikes. While before I was able to play comfortably at least a few hours of the day, now I cannot avoid the horror that is lag in Rocket League.

Re: The lag is back and this time stronger!

Hi miguelpk,

Sorry to hear about the lag experienced.

I've located your account and I'm not able to detect any fault either via the equipment levels or network segment at the moment.

It is, however, definitely worth Changing your Virgin Media Hub's wireless channel in order to strengthen this type of connection.

Re: The lag is back and this time stronger!

That's normal for a hub 3, bad latency. Search for Puma 6 chipset and all will be revealed.

If you still have your old hub see if they will re-activate it.

Dave.

Re: The lag is back and this time stronger!

I've been googling and seems like that's the case. I'm moving soon so I'm going to try another ISP. Even if the lag gets fixed the throttling is too much no matter how much more I pay.

Thank you for you replies.
