Terrible lag spikes for past few days

I'm getting the same issues as the other topic on this page - terrible lag/ping spikes at regular intervals which is making the connection unusable, sometimes a router reboot sorts it (but then rebooting it puts it into a constant 'updating' loop until I disconnect the co-ax and reboot it then reconnect), I'm getting massive lag spikes every 5-10 seconds for the past few days, it's unusable:

It also stops connecting to Ebay, Amazon, etc, after a while until I reboot the SH3 (then it gets stuck in the updating loop mentioned above)

Re: Terrible lag spikes for past few days

Set up a think broadband monitor too, although the above is pretty clear to exactly what it feels like.

Re: Terrible lag spikes for past few days

Been running a timer on it and it's a metronomic ~500ms spike/pause every 9-10s without fail.

Re: Terrible lag spikes for past few days

This is far worse than that issue, I've had the SH3 for a year and it's never been anywhere like this, this is absolutely unusable for online gaming full stop.

Your BQM don't look like a hub 3?

Re: Terrible lag spikes for past few days

Well it is.
Anyway - rebooted this afternoon, seems to have gone back to normal. Although there was a windows update/AMD driver hotfix installed straight after it came back up, so I'm not sure which it was now, I'll roll it back on one of my machines later and check.

There's a definate change in the BQM graph after it comes back up though. Although tbh, it actually looks worse...

Hey PhillipM,

Thanks for posting Smiley Happy

How has your connection been performing since your last post? It's been a little while and I can't see anything obvious when I check your connection.

Please get back to us if you're still having problems.

Thanks again for posting,

Take care.
