STILL poor internet after engineer, PM's now being ignored it looks like! Poor service AGAIN!

Once again, utterly poor service.

John you have been ignoring my PM messages for 5 days it seems after I mentioned my fault was not resolved in the end.

 

So I still have **** poor internet with no end in sight. Look at hop 2!

Internet is poor, customer service is poor. God knows why we even pay money for this "service"!
Can someone contact me as the original attempt at "fixing our internet" here clearly hasn't worked.

Those traceroutes are pretty good.

It is the end hop that counts, you can get high pings on intermediate hops if the server is set to give ICMP echo requests low priority as the server has more important things to do. Similarly the timeouts will occur when the server is set not to respond to ICMP echo requests.

 

Are you experiencing poor speeds wired or wireless?

 

If wired, are you experiencing poor speeds all the time, or only during peak hours?

Posting the hub's power levels and network logs might shed a bit more light.

Internet is just poor and unstable. For example it just took me 30 seconds to load this page to actually be able to reply to this. How ironic!

Poor speeds at times, drop outs, packet loss, unable to stream content without buffering half the time, gaming is near on impossible. This can occur at any given point in the day/night.

Thanks for getting back in touch. I'm sorry you have continued to have trouble with your connection. 

 

Griffin is correct about the trace-routes and they do look ok to me. 

 

Looking at your connection I can see that there is a change ticket open, ref C00669537. Which is to upgrade capacity and improve service. You may find that your services are intermittent while this work is undertaken. 

 

I will take another look at this thread on Thursday (this is when I am next in)  to see if the connection is improved after the work is completed. I will need to take another look at that point as when work is being undertaken it can mask other issues. 

 

Fingers crossed this corrects the issues you have been having.
