My psn has been down for 2 weeks now. I've been on twitter for help and they ignore me after they run though there script. I've been on the hub and it states my ps4 is getting.blocked by the hub. Modem mode dosnt work now and I've tried port forwarding. it dosnt work for my Playstation app either. Vm out of respect should offer discount off the bill due to me losing 2 weeks of psn. As you search this forum it looks as tho the gaming side dosnt get touched. I also get high ping now when I used to get 15 or lower, now 40 plus.
tried logging into the playstation site to post my issue and it cant log me int there website either. anything that requires me to log into a sony deice dosnt work. so yes virgin media its your end and yes its your fault. superhub 2 so ive heard works for some.
I'm sorry for the issues you're experiencing with PSN login, as I'm sure you've noticed in other threads I'm currently attempting to gather the information our network team requires to get to the bottom of this issue. Right now it's unclear where the exact issue lies, I myself have heard reports of this happening on ISP's in other countries. If you can provide me with the following information, I'll pass that on so we can get to the bottom of things asap.
Can you connect to PSN in router mode?
Can you connect to PSN in modem mode?
Run a traceroute to 18.104.22.168 in router AND modem mode.
Run a traceroute to 22.214.171.124 in router AND modem mode.
I can't log into the ps4 site to ask for help and with phoning virgin up its pissing me off now. Getting the same bloody answers each time them have you tried this have you done that! I just want an answer.from either party on who's fault it is. If this was America I could ask for legal action, but it's the UK we don't give a toss on our customers
-- Red (VM SH2 AC Beta tester) Running on 200Mb VM service with SH2 AC in Modem Mode, with a ASUS RT-N66U router. With this setup I get Fantastic WIRED and WIRELESS Signals in my home. I dont work for VM. But I work in IT, and I know my tech. My advice is at your own risk.
You should be able to run a traceroute in modem mode regardless of whether PSN works, as this is normally done through PC. I'm afraid I can't give you anymore info until we're able to investigate further, our network team needs the traceroutes to look at where exactly the problem lies.
