Playstation Now not working inside VM Network (but via VPN is good)

Hi,

I am unable to connect to PlayStation Now this evening, despite my speed test on PS4 showing 68.5 Down and 4.5 Up.

I can however connect if I set my router to go via VPN to Germany.  Some sort of problem on VM network?

Thanks

I should stat I am unable to start games over VM network, I can connect on to Playstation Now, but games won't start, stating connection is not good enough to stream games.  Like I say, they start fine if I set my router to connect to a VPN.

Re: Playstation Now not working inside VM Network (but via VPN is good)

Hello apwheeler

I am sorry you are having problems with play station, I wonder why...

If it is working with a VPN it would tend to suggest possible routing difficulties, or hub NAT or perhaps your WAN IP is blocked.

For diagnostic purposes I wonder if it would work better with modem only mode Modem mode on your Virgin Media Hub as that would eliminate a couple of the above.

Thank you

Nicola

It was only that evening, was fine the next day. I always use my superhub in modem mode. Suspect it was a glitch in the VM network that resolved.
