We have recently switched to Virgin Media 100mbs service and since we went live we are suffering sever Lag trying to play Final Fantasy Online through the PS4, we are using a wired connection direct to the Superhub 3, we are also finding serious buffering issues on Ipads and Iphones since switching over to Virgin, we previously had SKY fibre 76mbs service and had no issues at all in the 8 months we have been gaming online. I called Virgin last week and they had me do a speedcheck which returned 111mbs, my ipad was returning around 10mbs, when I said it was this low she did some computer stuff her end telling me that the IPAD is unreliable and to use a Laptop, I did and suddenly get a high result, put phone down and try the same evening and it drops right down again, is someone at Virgin playing silly beggers and turning down speeds until we phone and then cranking it up till we come off the phone. Seriously considering coming out this aweful contract and going back to SKY, at least I can game happy with no lag issues.
Has anyone had the same issues, if so how did you resolve them please as I am getting seriously frustrated.
Here are my speedtest results from one day, 12th March 2017 at 12:53pm is when I was on the phone to Virgin and she was doing something to my account, then in the evening things drop right off, i think 3.59mbs is not acceptable at all.
Engineer coming out tomorrow as the download speed is not just low on iPad it's on a wired connection too, funny thing is as soon as I come off the phone to Virgin agent my speed shoots up, very strange or very suspicious. Happens with any online game and when lag happens I run speed test and get results ranging from 2mb to 10mb, today it's run fine, will probably be ok till after engineer has been and then drop again, wish I had stayed with SKY as in 10 years never had a speed drop or issues with online gaming, with 3 weeks with Virgin it's constant.
