Ping spikes and packet loss

Hi,

Have been experiencing high pings on PS4 games at times for a while now (often occurs at around 9-11pm) so set up a BQM that shows what I think is a lot of packet loss too? Hope someone can offer some insight into this. Hope this is enough information.

Further info:

I have superhub2. This happened when using the hub in router mode and wirelessly connected to the router. I then purchased ethernet over power line and still had issues. I set the router to modem mode and installed an ASUS RT-AC87U router which I am now using, and still have a problem. When my ping spikes on the playstation I also experience high ping on other devices.

Interestingly, the issue persists during the day when no-one is home and most devices are idle.

Hi there,

Silly question but have to ask, have you checked all cables to and from the hub? It's best to remove them and then plug in again / screw in in the case of the coaxial cable

Yeah I've checked and removed/re-connected all the cables to be sure.

So frustrating!

Welcome to the forums, I am sorry to see you have had such trouble with your connection. Those BQMs don't look good do they? 

 

I have tried to take a further look but I am unable to locate your connection details.
