Packet loss major problem

Hello first of the setup

Running a virgin modem to a (new) Belkin n600 router modem thing. I was running on wireless but today I received my Tplink powerline 1200's and tried these as its hard lined but still the same issue Smiley Sad

speeds are 40-91mbps down - 10-20mbps upload, ping of 9-35ms Jitter of 2

I notice the packet loss when on Team speak and in game majorly.
I also turned the belkins firewall off to see if that helped. (no effect atall)

any help or advice welcome.

Hi SinlessViper,

 

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear you're having some trouble with teamspeak. The first thing I'd usually ask you to try is connecting directly to the hub so that we can rule out the belkin as the possible cause. It would also be great if you could try the hub in modem mode which will disable the hubs router functions and give a clearer indication as to the connection from our network.

I ran the hub in modem mode from 6pm last night and then had a thinkbroadband ping the address until this morning and in that time I have 100%packet loss

Your IP address changes in Modem Mode.

 

Please enter your new IP on thinkbroadband.

I had done I'm monitoring both old and new ip in both configurations

Have you enabled ICMP echo requests in the advanced settings of the hub?
