Packet loss high ping.

had engineer out 2 time's in 1 week it seem to be fine.

 

then that evening it went from 20 ping in servers to 120 and this morning i am getting packet loss constant there is just no point me playing a game or even having internet.

 

i have posted on my old post but nobody has got back to me.

Sorry to hear that your issues have returned. 

 

I've run a few tests on your connection and everything looks good since the last engineer visit. No problems on the modem or your network segment.

 

Can you post another trace route for us to have a look at when these problems occur?

over 3 weeks still not fixed.

Support pointed me to this forum for a similar issue, and I've had no luck so far either. Pretty useless place.

The tech that last cone was very good and listened to me.
When I explained he had good idea what it was and it seem fine am not blaming him cause it was ok till that evening then my ping in game went high,
I have built meny meny PC,
So I no how things work he asked me try it for coupe days then get back because there could be a bad connection or open connection on another line.
Make sure all your connections are tight from the PC to the wall.
He also mentioned an amp in the box getting really hot but I gave had this even in winter

Thanks for getting back to us. I'm sorry to hear that the issues are still continuing with your broadband service.

 

I've noticed when testing your connection that the power levels are still out of spec. The peak time load on your cable however is looking healthy which is good news.

this is still not fixed after the 3rd tech has been.

its even gone worse with my speed gone from 100mg to 45mg packet loss rubber banding and over 100 ping again.

Thanks for getting back to us. I'm sorry to hear that you are still experiencing issues with the broadband connection.

 

I've had a check on your connection and everything is looking healthy. Power levels are within spec and no problems showing on your network segment. Everything is looking good since the engineer visit.

 

Can you confirm that you are testing the speed connected directly to the Virgin Media hub through an ethernet cable?

 

Could you post a trace route for us to have a look at?

i am on wire i have replaced all with brand new cat6.

Hi, I feel your pain. My connection (Ethernet in modem only mode) just hits the floor in the evening it is so poor - you wont get any constructive help on this forum looking at other posts - just a reply to make sure someone hits an 'SLA'

 

Good luck with fixing or putting up with it like everyone else seems to before moving somewhere else
